Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FJ, operated at findjobs.dev ("the Service", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using FJ, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing FJ, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age and that you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above. Your continued use of FJ after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
2. Service Description
FJ is a job search platform that aggregates software engineering job listings from publicly available sources. We collect, organize, and enrich job postings to make them searchable by technology, location, seniority, salary, remote policy, and other attributes.
The Service includes:
- Browsing and searching job listings through our web interface
- Filtering jobs by technology, location, seniority, work type, salary range, and industry
- Viewing job details and following application links to employer career pages
- Subscribing to email alerts for new jobs matching your criteria
FJ is an aggregator and search tool. We do not post jobs, employ candidates, or participate in the hiring process. When you click "Apply" on a listing, you are directed to the employer's own career page or application system.
3. User Conduct
When using FJ, you agree not to:
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service at a volume that degrades performance for other users
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of our software or data processing systems
- Systematically download or reproduce our job database for the purpose of creating a competing service
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when subscribing to alerts or contacting us
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its infrastructure
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access for users who violate these rules, without prior notice.
4. Job Data and Accuracy
Job listings displayed on FJ are sourced from publicly available company career pages and applicant tracking systems. We make reasonable efforts to keep our data current and accurate, but we cannot guarantee:
- Availability -- jobs may be filled, closed, or removed by the employer at any time. A listing appearing on FJ does not guarantee the position is still open.
- Accuracy of details -- job titles, descriptions, and requirements are sourced from employers and may contain errors or omissions that are outside our control.
- Salary estimates -- where we display salary data, it may be estimated based on available information, comparable roles, or partial data from the listing. Salary figures are approximate and should not be treated as guaranteed compensation.
- Classification accuracy -- our automated fingerprinting system assigns attributes like tech stack, seniority level, remote policy, and industry. While we strive for accuracy, these classifications may occasionally be incorrect.
- Completeness -- we do not claim to list every available software engineering position. Our coverage depends on which sources we index.
You should always verify job details directly with the employer before making decisions based on information shown on FJ.
5. Intellectual Property
The FJ name, logo, design, and the software powering the Service are the property of FJ and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding without prior written permission.
Job listing content (titles, descriptions, company names) is sourced from third-party employers and remains the property of the respective companies. We display this content under fair use for the purpose of enabling job seekers to find relevant opportunities.
The enriched metadata we generate (fingerprints, classifications, salary estimates) represents our original analysis and is the intellectual property of FJ. Systematic extraction of this data is prohibited without our express written consent.
6. Email Alerts
If you subscribe to job alerts, you agree to receive periodic emails from FJ containing job listings matching your specified criteria. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every alert email. We will stop sending alerts promptly after you unsubscribe.
We will not send you marketing emails, promotional content, or communications unrelated to the job alerts you signed up for. Your email address will not be shared with employers or third parties.
7. Third-Party Links
FJ contains links to third-party websites, primarily employer career pages and application systems. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of these external sites. When you follow an application link, you are leaving FJ and are subject to the terms and privacy policies of the destination site.
We do not endorse any particular employer, and the presence of a job listing on FJ does not constitute a recommendation of the company.
8. Disclaimers
FJ is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
- Any errors in the Service will be corrected
- Jobs listed on FJ will lead to employment
Your use of FJ is at your sole discretion and risk. We are a job search tool, not an employment agency, recruiter, or career advisor.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FJ and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising out of:
- Your use of or inability to use the Service
- Any reliance on job listings, salary data, or other information provided through the Service
- Any action taken by an employer or third party in connection with a listing found on FJ
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Since FJ is a free service, this amount is zero.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FJ and its operators from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to FJ at any time, for any reason, without notice or liability. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections 5 (Intellectual Property), 8 (Disclaimers), 9 (Limitation of Liability), and 10 (Indemnification) survive termination of these Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of the United States.
